Season One set to continue once more @thegnotesots Saturdays at any given time after The EEC: @eeveningpostcomics Critics have called G-Notes “hilariously cruel and unusual punishment”, “why, tell us why” and “?????”. Now after several agonizing weeks that felt like the time between one “Will and Grace” to another, Thranduil and Thorin decided to make everyone laugh themselves into a sugar high while you put up your Christmas Trees after Halloween.

Thranduil: Perhaps, but it wasn’t about me so I stopped listening.

Radagast: What was that? Some form of Elvish?

Gandalf: Why it’s a meme, Radagast. It’s the new age trend designed to make light of something using images and trending catch phrases to convey an idea or witty maxim.

Radagast: And people think I’m strange.

Gandalf: You’re not strange, Radagast. Just a bit eccentric. Adorably esoteric. Indubitably opaque. Extraordinarily unusual. Undeniably arcane.

Radagast: Are you describing me or the meme?

Thranduil: Oropher was a great king and an exceptional warrior. He gave to this kingdom all that you see around you.

Legolas: Wow. All this?

Thranduil: Yes, son. Glorious, is it not?

Legolas: Yes, it is.

Thranduil: No king ever did so much for his people.

Legolas: You’re talking about yourself, aren’t you?

Thranduil: You have been paying attention. I’m so proud of you.

Bilbo: I could have sworn it was “trick or treat”.

Thorin: No, I am afraid not. It’s ���treat and treat” for I am Thorin Oakenshield. I am the treat and I am treating you with my presence.

Éomer: Uncle, there comes word from Meduseld.

Théoden: Yes, what is it?

Éomer: It is from Mirkwood. It is Thranduil.

Théoden: Oh, it must be for Legolas. Go find him, Éomer.

Éomer: It is for you, Uncle.

Théoden: Uh, tell him, “we are unable to take your call right now. Please leave a message and Rohan will answer as soon as we can. Thank you. Beep”.

Thranduil: This is what happens when you talk too much.

Legolas: But I did not say anything.

Thranduil: Are you sure?

Legolas: Yes. What would I say and to whom?

Thranduil: I heard you speaking to one of the guards the other day about how you could not wait to leave Mirkwood to go on a Fellowship.

Legolas: How is that possible?

Thranduil: We live in a cave. It echoes in here. It is rather awkward in romantic situations–not that you would know anything about that.

Legolas: Yes, I would.

Thranduil: Legolas, go to your room.

Legolas: Are we done here?

Thranduil: Am I the King?

Legolas: Yes.

Thranduil: Am I beautiful?

Legolas: Yes.

Thranduil: Well, then. I think we’re done here.

Thranduil: For my New Year’s Resolution, I am going to be nicer to everyone. I am going to listen to what people have to say–no matter what it is–good or bad and I won’t get angry or upset. I am going to value everyone’s opinion about everything–even about me. I will be a kindler and gentler elf to everyone I meet. I look forward to many days of hope and wonder.

Thorin: Really? You’re going to do all that next year?

Thranduil: Not all of it. I was thinking about easing into it over time. Let’s not get crazy.
